What is Voxti and what is it for?

Voxti is a PA acoustic quality supervision system that measures in real time the STI intelligibility of every broadcast message, taking into account ambient noise, emission level and distortion. It allows detecting problems in the PA system before they become a critical failure in an emergency.

In which type of venues is Voxti installed?

Voxti is installed in venues with public-address PA: stadiums, sports arenas, shopping centres, hospitals, airports, transport stations, universities, corporate buildings, car parks and tunnels. It is especially useful where intelligibility of evacuation announcements is critical for safety.

How is STI intelligibility measured?

Voxti analyses the acoustic signal emitted by the PA system at one or more listening points in the venue, decodes the message and calculates the STI (Speech Transmission Index) per IEC 60268-16. The STI value is represented on a 0 to 1 scale and shows whether announcements are intelligible in each zone.

Can Voxti integrate with my management system?

Yes. Voxti offers integration outputs via Ethernet (REST API, Modbus TCP), dry contacts for BMS integration, and SCADA system compatibility. It can generate automatic alerts, real-time dashboards and historical PA acoustic quality reports.

What is the difference between Voxti and a simple sound level meter?

A sound level meter measures noise level and, optionally, global acoustic parameters. Voxti specifically analyses the quality of the message played by the PA: it detects whether the emitted audio is intelligible in each zone of the venue, not only whether the PA produces sound. It is the difference between knowing that there is sound and knowing that it is understood.
