All about LEVELAD

What is LEVELAD?

LEVELAD is a professional ambient noise measurement and continuous monitoring system. It measures sound levels in dBA and dBC in real time, performs 1/3 octave spectral analysis (40 Hz – 16 kHz) and generates automatic PDF reports. It operates 24/7 autonomously, without a PC or internet connection.

Does it need an internet connection to work?

No. LEVELAD operates completely autonomously without an internet connection. All measurements are stored locally. A network connection is only needed for remote web access or synchronisation with the central server, both optional features.

What microphone does it use and how is it calibrated?

It uses the miniDSP UMIK-1 USB microphone, which comes with individual factory calibration via a unit-specific correction file. This ensures traceability and accuracy of all measurements.

Does it comply with noise regulations?

Yes. The central server automatically calculates Ld, Le, Ln and Lden indices in accordance with Spanish Royal Decree 1367/2007 and European Directive 2002/49/EC. It allows configurable limits by acoustic zone type and continuously evaluates compliance.

How many devices can be managed simultaneously?

There is no limit. With the central server you can monitor dozens of LEVELAD devices simultaneously, compare data between devices, analyse source-receiver correlations and receive automatic alerts from all of them.

Can the device be accessed remotely?

Yes. Each device has a web interface accessible from any browser on the local network. For secure remote access from any location, VPN (Tailscale) is used. It also has a REST API for integration with external systems.

Acoustic control at live events

Concerts, festivals and outdoor events create a critical challenge: ensuring regulatory compliance without limiting the audience experience.

ProblemConsequence
Neighbourhood noise complaintsFines from €300 to €300,000
Spot measurements by deployed technicianHigh cost, limited coverage, no continuity
Unknown actual level at receiversInability to adjust PA in real time
Dispute over noise sourceNo objective evidence for authorities
Inability to prove complianceLegal liability for the organiser

Multi-receiver monitoring network

LEVELAD deploys a network of devices that simultaneously monitors the sound source and multiple receivers, correlating both measurements in real time.

How it works during an event

1

Deployment

LEVELAD devices are installed at the source (stage) and receiver points (facades, residential areas). Each device self-registers on the server.

2

Continuous monitoring

Devices measure and send data to the central server. The panel shows in real time the level at each receiver and whether it comes from the event or the ambient.

3

Alert & correction

If a receiver exceeds the limit, an automatic alert is sent to the sound engineer, who reduces PA volume. The panel confirms correction within seconds.

4

Documentation

At the end of the event, a complete report is automatically generated with full measurement traceability, regulatory compliance and correlation analysis.

Event applications

🎪

Festivals

Multiple stages, several days. Simultaneous control of all emission points and perimeter receivers with full traceability.

🎸

Concerts
